Vito and Maria Angrisani founded Benvenuti in 1980.It is one of Manchester's oldest and most authentic Italian restaurants, run by an Italian family.The use of traditional Italian recipes is still prevalent.Benvenuti is in its third generation of family workers, and its customers are in their fourth."It's like being in Sorrento; there's a little Benvenuti on every corner," one customer said. "We enjoy going here because we feel like we're still on vacation. Friendly and fast but relaxed."
