After turning professional and giving couples guest lessons to help them compete, Damien Hey Dance Academy was founded. He realized that many dancers wanted more from their dancing, and that there was a different way to teach dance, breaking down conventional and traditional methods, making it more fun and natural, not just numbers and steps!They helped to found Damien Hey Dance Academy, just as Damien had done during his own career, after seeing the faith and trust that they and their families had in him to lead them to success.This isn't just for competitions; it's for everyone!Dance is something that anyone can learn!We started with only 6 people, which, combined with Damien's enthusiasm and unquenchable drive, was to launch the juggernaut of quality and excellence, truly making a mark and breaking the mould!And they are still the foundation of everything we have become.We offer dance classes to all levels every day of the week at three amazing venues in the North West, from beginners who have never seen a dance floor who just want to learn a fantastic hobby to social dancers who just want to dance the night away, and of course we enter people into regional internships.We are honoured that some of the world's best dancers train with us and compete with us. This is due to more than just the amazing teacher's own passion for dance!But also to everyone who walks through the door's attitude, dedication, and talent.They are the driving force behind DHDA's culture and atmosphere of excellence and fun.They are also the most popular students at the school.
