My life revolves around music.I don't even know where to begin to express how much I adore it!My enthusiasm for it stems from an inspiring teacher I had in high school, and I'd like to express my gratitude to Mrs. Woodward for that.She is responsible for everything I've accomplished since graduating from high school.She encouraged me to write my own music, which I continue to do to this day, self-recording everything and attempting to get it out there for people to enjoy.I've seen firsthand how a teacher can make a difference in a student's life and even their entire future.This is the type of teacher I aspire to be!I strive to make each student I teach feel great about the music they create, as well as to make them realize the importance of the skills they are learning.I'm not just talking about their ability to play an instrument; I'm talking about all of the other skills and feelings that come with music learning, such as a sense of accomplishment, performing skills, social skills, communication skills, increased self-esteem, and so on.
