Pontypridd Museum' has collections relate to the area covered by the Pontypridd Town Council ward boundaries. The museum collects objects, photographic images, and films, works of art and documents which help tell the story of the town and its people. At Pontypridd Museum they have a variety of leaflets on attractions in Pontypridd and further afield. The town grew and prospered from the mid-19th century onwards as the market town for the surrounding valleys, while these places yielded their rich reserves of coal. The museum offers guided and tactile tours.
