READING TOWN HALL

description

Reading Town Hall has a history that is long and esteemed. It consists of four buildings that were the first building built in 1786 in the 18th and 19th centuries. Charles Poulton opened the victoria Hall as a purpose-built town hall. It is one of the highest and most expensive medieval buildings in Europe, and the burial site of England's King Henry I. A walk around Reading shows evidence from all periods, especially characteristic brick architecture, in historic buildings and monuments.
