My understanding of yoga stems from a lifetime of practice, teaching, learning, and applying its principles to the realities of modern life.I ran yoga classes during the evenings and weekends in addition to a busy secondary school teaching career, where I taught science and modern languages.I am now able to focus solely on teaching yoga and its five principles – meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), postures, relaxation, and diet – emphasizing the therapeutic benefits of yoga and using it as a practical tool to improve all aspects of one's life.At the age of 19, I discovered yoga for the first time.I easily transitioned from ballet to yoga, recognizing the powerful interplay between the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of yoga and its benefits right away.
