CROWNHILL FORT

Crownhill Fort' is the best-preserved place of Plymouth's Victorian Defences and has been in the care of the Landmark Trust. The largest and most original of Plymouth's forts, Crownhill occupies one of the highest points in the city and offers great views. Crownhill represented the cutting edge of fortress design during that period. Facilities are available for visually impaired visitors. Self-driven walking tours and fort grounds are available on the last Friday of each month, plus regular open days when public access is allowed. Baby changing facility and wheelchairs available.
