Trinity House' possesses a rich history and architectural heritage of own, in part traceable back some six hundred years, as part of the Newcastle Quayside inside those buildings. The artefacts and fittings reflect the lives and collective endeavours of the Brethren as part of the unique, historical and enduring maritime tradition that is the corporation of the Newcastle upon Tyne Trinity House. The port of Tyne control room, South Tyneside college marine safety training centre and Tynemouth RNLI station are regularly scheduled for visits. The main functions are the conservation and restoration of the historic buildings surrounding the Broad Chare site.
