St Mary's Cathedral' is the mother church of the Catholic Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. It is one of the greatest of all Victorian architects, Augustus Welby Pugin, famous for his design of the interior of the Houses of Parliament at Westminster. The cathedral is open daily, free entry and non-commercial photography are permitted. Free parking is available for visitors.
