The Bowes Railway is unique among the railways that have been restored. Visitors walk around their proposed industrial park, steep rope cliffs, a3-mile steam train tour, and refreshments. All workshops have a learning framework designed to be fun and interactive. Take a guided tour of the railway site at 10:00 am & 3:00 pm or take a self-guided tour. See mining displays and blacksmithing demonstrations as well as diesel shunting. Enjoy a hot drink and a bite to eat while you visit the museum. Free admission. Wheelchair friendly.
