Flint Castle is a famous location of a fateful meeting between Richard II and his crown rival Henry Bolingbroke in 1399. The castle and its earthworks were built using local Millstone Grit ashlar and sandstone by 1,800 labourers and masons. It was one of the first castles that King Edward l had built in Wales. Great for fog walkers and accessible. It offers free admission.
