Callendar House has played host to several significant past figures: Queen of Scots, Mary, Cromwell and Bonnie Prince Charlie. They bring history to life as an authentic Georgian food sample, listen to living stories below stairs, and watch their regular tasks to perform by galley personnel. The 14th century, this French-chateau styled large home becomes a surprise almost every shift. It offers a changing program of presentations of modern visual art, while the 2nd-floor exhibition place explores different aspects of cultural heritage.
