High Woods Country Park is one of the popular parks in Colchester because of the combination of woods, open spaces, lake, and meadows. It provides a great environment for hiking, running, and playing on and off the lead for "man's best friend." You can have a good brisk walk along the forest paths, some den construction, a well-deserved picnic, and elder people can relax with watching the kids play in one of the adventure playgrounds. Your dogs can dig among all the trees, looking for a chasing rabbit. Fishing spot is available, especially in the beautiful Highwoods Park surroundings. Wheelchairs are accessible.
