Castle Park spans an area of 11 hectares and listed as Grade II in the English Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Importance. The play park's bottom end is a giant castle style climbing frame with many daunting obstacles to tackle. The park provides a perfect setting for a huge range of events, including shows, festivals, and concerts. You can enjoy music, games, or have a picnic among the flowers and trees. The park has award-winning horticulture that includes various gardens within the park. They afford free entry. Dogs are allowed on a lead in the lower Castle Park.
