COLCHESTER CASTLE

Colchester Castle is a Grade II listed building that provides roman displays, hands-on activities, and tours. It's an award-winning place with 2,000 years of history. There are plenty of interactive exhibits for both young and old tourists. Visitors can climb the Great Stairs, take the view from the top of the Castle and go down to the foundations of the Romans. It theorized that it once had as many as four floors, such as the Castle's peaceful area and the shortage of local stone. Guided tours are available.
