St Werburgh's church is a Roman Catholic Parish that was established between 1873 and 1875. The church is a Grade II listed building that was designed and constructed in French Gothic style architecture. It is set in a warm and friendly environment, which attracts people from all over the community to attend masses, prayers and worships. The church was constructed using buff sandstone and grey slate roofs. St Werburgh's church welcomes people to attend the prayers to understand the idea and importance of faith and glory towards God. The church has exquisite stained glass windows and a two-manual organ that was installed in 1882. The old organ was replaced with a new three-manual organ in 2004.
