The Carlisle Golf Club is established in 1908 with the original layout designed by Mr Theodore Moon. The club is less than half a mile away from the M6 J43. The course is located among mature trees in a gently rolling parkland and is one of the most desirable courses in northern England to test any golfer. The English Golf Union also holds the Club in high regard bringing the English Seniors Championship to Carlisle in 2010.
