Cambridge Castle is a stone built castle, and grassy mound in Cambridge's history is of great importance. They designed in a motte and bailey style, and the castle had to within the current town and 27 houses to make room for it. The print from 1784 shows the castle in the Elizabethan age. It provides a full view of the town's rooftops and the landscape surrounding. It's a good point of the landscape from which you can see landmarks such as the chapels of St Johns and Kings. They also afford free entry.
