We believe that all children have a right to a broad, balanced, creative, and coherent curriculum that prepares them for the opportunities and challenges that the twenty-first century brings.They should be given the skills, attitudes, and dispositions they need to grow into well-rounded individuals and life-long learners, while also instilling a love of learning.We are focusing on ensuring the correct balance between knowledge and skills in order for children to learn to think for themselves and for learning to become truly embedded.We are redesigning our curriculum to ensure that key agreed-upon skills are repeated in each subject for each year group.Children must be responsible for their own learning in order for them to plan and demonstrate initiative, persevere, and have a commitment to self-improvement.
