The Roman Fort & Museum of Segedunum is one of the most thoroughly excavated fort sites in the Roman Empire. The place features the remains of the original Roman fort, an interactive museum and a full-scale bathhouse reconstruction. The 35-meter high observation tower provides excellent views over this UNESCO World Heritage Site and the River Tyne, both ancient and contemporary in a place of great historical significance. It offers free admission for Children (under 16s).
