RICHARD JEFFERIES MUSEUM

description

Richard Jefferies Museum consists of a thatched cottage of the 17th century purchased in 1800 by the Jefferies family. It is owned and managed by the Swindon Borough Council and the Richard Jefferies Museum Trust. You can enjoy the tearoom and beautiful gardens with a nature trail, wooded picnic area, orchard, vegetable plots, and a thousand places for kids to run around and hide. The museum holds regular family events, as well as writing classes, poetry events, and local people's opportunities to come and get involved.
