I began teaching Math in secondary schools in the United Kingdom in 1997, but I left in 2015 to spend more time with my family.I went into business for myself, doing things unrelated to teaching, but once word got out that I was now available, friends and acquaintances began contacting me to ask if I could tutor their children and to recommend me to others.That has evolved over time and is now my primary activity!The majority of my work with children is 1:1, and the work we do is entirely focused on them and what they require, with each session covering at least a couple of topics, increasing the challenge as needed, diverting into related topics that pique their interest, and going back to look at something that came up as a problem and regaining confidence.
