The University of Bradford Nursery was designed specifically to provide high-quality facilities.Many awards have been bestowed upon us over the years, including the University's award for Excellence in Developing People (IIP), certification for passing Effective Early Learning (EEL), the Investors in Children Award (IIC), Silver Award in Inclusion Quality Standard (IQS), and a 5* rating in Food Hygiene.We received a Gold Award for the First Steps to Healthy Teeth Dental Health in February 2014.We continue to develop our provision through the use of audit tools and Local Authority (LA) development programs to maintain our good practice ethos.The Every Child a Talker (ECaT) National Early Years Language Programme is one of them, and it focuses on helping children improve their speaking and listening skills.Another tool for assessing practice and environment quality in early childhood settings is the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS) and the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS).This auditing tool is used in our setting because it allows us to assess our services holistically.Our staff consists of two Graduate Leaders and an Early Years Teacher, all of whom are highly qualified.
