Claydons Academy was founded in 1998 and is a member of the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A). It offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Freestyle, Gymnastic Dance, Drama, Musical Theatre, and Cheerleading to students of all ages and abilities.Drama classes are offered at the Academy to help students develop confidence, discipline, and imagination, which, when combined with the other dance disciplines, results in invaluable social skills.Dance is a great way for people of all ages to stay fit, healthy, and supple while also giving them a sense of accomplishment.The academy takes pride in its belief that having fun while teaching dance is the most important factor to consider.At our nine branches across the home counties, we currently have over 450 students enrolled in a variety of subjects.Whatever their level, all students are encouraged to participate in charity work, cabarets, fetes, village shows, and school fairs.The academy also provides dancers for professional shows, many of which are by invitation only, as well as cabaret performances for special occasions.The Academy bases its lessons on the I.D.T.A Syllabus, which allows students at all levels to participate in regular examinations in all subjects taught.These exams can be taken at all levels, from Preparatory to Advanced, and are of a very high professional standard.
