Sarah MacNa, the principal of Aberdeen Academy of Dance, is the director of the school.It provides an internationally recognized portfolio of assessments and exams that are designed to encourage, motivate, and reward students of all ages and abilities while also laying out a progressive structure for dance learning and achievement.Many Qdos pantomimes have featured students from the Aberdeen Academy of Dance, including Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.A group of students participated in the Aberdeen International Youth Festival last summer.Sarah MacNa is a choreographer for a local theater company.For the Tivoli Theatre, she choreographed Attic shows Robin Hood and Babes in the Wood, Dick Whittington, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as Aberdeen Student Shows, Spital Shop of Horrors, and Wullie Wonkie & the Fine Piece Factory.
